Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, Dr. Keyla Torres attended the University of Puerto Rico, where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. From there, she attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry to complete her post-doctoral training in periodontics and dental implants and a master’s degree in Oral Biology. Since the completion of her program, Dr. Torres has continued to further her education by attending and participating in continuing education courses. Dr. Torres became certified to perform the innovative LANAP laser treatment in 2017. She is also certified in Chao Pinhole Technique, a minimally invasive method in treating gum recession.
Committed to helping those in need, she is extremely proud of her service on several medical missions in Puerto Rico and other parts of the United States.
Dr. Torres has placed hundreds of dental implants, and also has extensive surgical experience in various soft and hard tissue grafting techniques. As a native Spanish speaker herself, Dr. Torres is happy to offer bilingual care.
Dr. Torres currently lives in Columbia, Maryland, and is looking forward to working with and serving her community. Dr. Torres is active in dental associations, and participates as well as lectures in various study clubs in the area. She is happily married to her husband, and they have a young daughter as well. During her free time, Dr. Torres enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
